TWHAWC Camp Weekend at Cutoff Creek
For TWHAWC members only. Become a member today to join in on the fun!
Come get away from electronics and everyday busy life and get into nature! with this beautiful weekend of riding,
June 22 to June 24 2019, at Cutoff Creek.
This is wonderful riding suited for all horses, as you can tailor it to fit any of your horses needs. You can choose smaller rides for out of shape, or young horses, or you can come ride to 40 Mile Cabin and back for all day rides. If you have never horse camped before dont worry! it is an amazing experience and there will be help there to get you settled.
There is no cellphone reception, internet, or TV - just the sun, mountains, and nature. Cant get better than that!
We will be high tying the horses, so please come prepared to high tie. You will need: 25' rope for between poles, muck buckets, rake/shovel, pails, feed for horses, and any other personal things you need for you and your horses camping trip. Water is very close, and there is picnic benches and fire pits. Outhouses are also available. The trails are mostly dirt, but there is some rock by the river that can chip feet, so horseshoes/ horse boots are recommended.
If you are interested in coming on this wonderful ride, or have any questions/concerns please contact Dawn Sigurdson at (403)505-4266, [email protected] BEFORE June 19 2019, so we know how many people to expect and so a spot can be saved for you. Dawn will be at the campsite on June 20 and will not be able to be contacted after this time due to no cellphone reception at camp, so please book ahead. Please let Dawn know if you will be needing assistance to get settled,
or if it is your first time horse camping. If you are unable to reach Dawn you may also contact Jessica Johanson at [email protected], or email us here at TWHAWC for any information. Thank you.
Look forward to seeing you all out there.
