The Spring Fling Dinner and Dance was a fantastic family gathering. The evening started with a roast beef dinner provided by the culinary expertise of Randy and Sandie Hirsekorn. Next up came the carnival games organized by Nicole Hirsekorn. The kids had a blast shooting cans, fishing for a "needle in a haystack", saddle ring toss, and a bean bag toss to mention a few. For each point you received a ticket you could use towards a chance to win an assortment of prizes. The dance portion of the evening followed with a great mix of tunes. Some lovely young ladies made sure we stayed in step on the line dances and of course no dance is complete with out the "Bird Dance". The highlight for all would have had to be young Austin's dance rendition to I'm Sexy and I Know It or maybe perhaps when he left his sister high and dry on the dance floor so he could tie his shoe, repeatedly. Finally when you got to hot from all the dancing there were even Ice Cream Floats to cool you down. They sure thought of everything! For our first social event of 2013 it was a smashing good time! A huge Thank You to everyone who attended, all the volunteers and the Hirsekorn Family for making this event a success.
